My recommendations for starting operators are Ash/Sledge Doc/Rook
Agree 100%, especially Rook. His gadget is incredibly easy to use and allows you to essentially do (almost) whatever you want afterwards. Doc is a great starter too, but you might run into those few individuals who run at you screaming for heals. I've put well over 1500 hours into this game, and Sledge is still my favorite attacking Operator. His gun is one of the easiest to use in the game, has frags, a great secondary in the SMG 11, and, I mean... who doesn't love destroying things with a nearly invincible Sledgehammer?
Besides Sledge, Buck is also a op I like. He also has frags, same speed and armor, but he has access to a DMR or you can use the C8, unfortunely, the C8 has one of the biggest recoils (in attackers team and when compared with other rifles) but his skeleton key can be used for vertical fight, breaching walls and hatches and even kill people with it. Sledge gadget is good, but it has a bit of time before he can shoot again, while Buck it's only a matter of switching quickly to rifle and kill the distracted enemy
If you have a good aim, you can do more damage and faster with DMR, you just have to be precise, and use it for longer range support,. but if you spray and pray, then it's a whole another story
Recoil wise CAMRS praticly doesn't have any recoil at all, and you can connect 20 of these shots more regularly but with C8 you will have a harder time, I'm not saying that Buck C8 is hard, just saying that DMR shot consistency is better, you have 20 of these high caliber bullets and you can fire them faster if you manage to do it quick on the mouse button, there was once even a problem with macros and DMR which allowed it's quick fire exploitation, just as like the QE spam and other similar problems
