If we're removing Zofia's Withstand and Ela's DBNO Concussion...
remove Aruni's ability to punch big holes through walls. That's a 'hidden ability' that's based on her lore/background, so it qualifies to be removed just as much as Withstand and the DBNO Concussion.

Ubisoft justified the removal of these abilities because they were lore based, and not a part of the operator's ability. Therefore, aruni's punch is only based on her lore of having a robot hand, as is cav's interrogate ability, as is dokkebi using defender cams. Ubisoft is being inconsistent with this statement and it implies that they had other reasons than the stated ones. Nobody is actually calling for either of these abilities to be removed.

Exactly mate, it's not like if a Zofia does a withstand, they don't instantly die on the next down anyway, or it activates a death totem and the player that downed Zofia will die in 10 seconds automatically
haha that sounds like Dead By Daylight XD soon we will have a operator with a chainsaw that will have a rampage ability that makes them invincible for 5 seconds

a sledge with only his sledge but can activate 2 second invincibility could be interesting to face off against. Terrible for the game in nearly every way, but interesting for the first 2 rounds

Personally I don't care about withstand thing getting removed not because "lore shouldn't interfere with gameplay and game design in general" but because it's useless and rarely you would do something crazy with it... All these casters, PL players and content creators are like insanely happy as if siege was flawless and only withstand was the issue

I mean even after nerf his gadget is pretty much must have and he has solid gun....i suck at game and even i know that.

Jaeger would need a complete overhaul to reduce his pickrate. His gadget, even in it's current state, is almost a requirement to defend a site.

was zofias and elas concussion ability added for lore then properly balanced?
was arunis punch ability added for balance then added lore?

i think was ubisoft is saying there is they dont want to keep abilities created just for lore, but if there is a balance reason they will probably keep it
abilities like cavs interrogation, doks defender cams, yings self flash resistance are all explicitly explained, maybe some of these abilities were added for balance, maybe for lore

this is either a misunderstanding from the community or a miscommunication from ubisoft, but im leaning toward the former due to the fact there is more than 1 parameter in ubisofts reasoning

unrelated but,
there was another misunderstanding within the community regarding processors with less than 4 threads, people complained they couldnt run the game, eventually a developer explained what went on and said players with less than 4 logical cores cannot run the game
people just ignored the word logical and assumed it was physical cores... but logical cores is just another name for threads, you can probably guess how that went

All operator gadgets are created because of lore.

i find creating operators based on lore kinda stupid, i mean whats next? a operator that lore wise survived a grenade explosion and now he is immune to them? Like why even bother bringing these things up in the first place if they are gonna remove it anyway.

I think it makes things unique. Pretty much all ops that have hidden passives are things that make sense, like when Echo was immune to Dokk's phone calls, or Zofia and Ela being resistant to each other's stun abilities.
