Why is it called Rainbow Six Siege and not Rainbow five Siege?

It`s a 5vs5 and not a 6vs6, i dont get why there is this six in the name .

Dude, the game is inspired by the Tom Clancy novel Rainbow Six. Its called Rainbow Six because rainbow refers to the multinational special forces involved and Six is the code name of the director of the program.

I love this statement, @OP is simple stuff Ubi is using the Tom Clancy & Rainbow Six names for marketing value, despite this game being a weird hybrid between Overwatch & CoD but with the "unique" partial map destruction, and CTU's names (if the ignore the ridiculous existence, of the PMC knows as night haven).

i uninstalled this game because of the amount of smurfs there was and the lag i had
i don't like competitive games like cs go or rainbow six siege i just like casual games to have fun

Well it's not a game for everyone, just like horror games, racing games, story games etc.
