When someone has a K/D much higher than 1.0 these could have several reasons:
- He's playing in party with people less skilled so he carries them
- He dosn't know hot to play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ objective => He gets a lot of (useless) kills but loses the round because he's just camping somewhere
- He's still ranking up => K/D will go back to 1.0 when he reaches his maximum level
- He's like Diamond and even the average Diamond player is less skilled than him
Lately I joined a random match. It was a 1v5 situation and I saw our Ash on Border camping completely outside the objetive. He didn't even try to get to the objective. He got 3 kills in the end but lost the match. Then I checked his profile and he had a K/D of 1.6 and a W/L of 0.9.
Moral of the story. When you see someone with a K/D significantly higher than his W/L he has no idea how to play the objective or he just doesn't care. Mine W/L is about 1.3 and K/D is 1.2. I mainly play Ranked and I'm very happy with my stats.
Coming to the discussion I honestly feel a K/D of 1.0 or above is great.
have a friend on uplay who got 4.8 K/D platinum 1 LOL
Not to mention that you can leave the game to stat pad. I've seen lots of 25 w/l and 3+ k/d ranked users who do this. K/D that high is definitely faked/exploited.

How many hours in competitive is the real question.
