You should actually disable the defuser, not hit it with your gun.

Makes no sense how a grenade won't break the defuser but hitting it with your gun will. When disabling it, you should open it up and do the same animation as planting it, but instead of planting it you are turning it off.

The developers probably just want you to be vulnerable while disarming it, and also hitting it will make a sound while just doing the same thing as setting it up would make less noise, which would give a bigger advantage for defenders, I also just think they want it to be harder to defuse.

I agree they should have some type of animation opening the case & "hacking" the bomb... We might see that change in the future they did say siege was made to last in the long term.

The reason you cant just shoot the case is because that would be game breaking. Way too easy for the attackers to win... Hell glaz could just snipe it from a window game over...
