Overheating CPU after only 1 or 2 games
Running an AMD FX8350 Vishera, 4ghz with no overclock. got 8GB of ram, a GTX760 all on a sabretooth motherboard powered by a 600w corsair. with my CPU cooled by a Corsair Hydro series H100I v2 and yet my temperatures rapidly climb to 70 degrees celius and then slowly push up to 90 at which point my computer kicks in it's safety and turns off.

I have tried using V-Sync, limiting frame rates, dropping all settings to the lowest possible, I have made sure the cooling block is fitted correctly and applied appropriate amounts of thermal paste (artic silver 5) everytime and even made doubly sure it is mounted correctly. I have cleaned out the radiator of any dust that was hanging around, all my fans are properly positioned and even then with the case wide open overheating occurs EXACTLY THE SAME WAY with no indication at to what is causing the issue.

I have played Tekken 7 with no issue, fallout 4 with tons of mods with no issue and other various games with no issue yet Rainbow 6 Siege is constantly overheating my CPU. I have done everything I think possible to fix this. Checked the cooling unit, it is pumping as other games aren't an issue and checking the pipes one is warm while the other is cool (not ice cold or anything, just room temperature sort of cool which is not even close to being even 25 degrees celius (heck with winter coming it's rapidly dropping).

I have seen other have similar issues with the 8350 however everytime they find something else was wrong then it works fine or they get no final answer (or just never check back) and in my previous thread about this the thread was rapidly derailed by an intel fanboy. Now if anyone has any possible solution for this (other than "lul get new CPU because you clearly rich") would be greatly appreciated. I want to enjoy this game but when your computer does NOT want to play nice then I don't know what's wrong.

It cannot be the game, so there's no reason to post this here.

It can be the game, if the game is far too demanding. And it definitelty is too demanding.

You might not have put enough coolant on your CPU. That, or your cooling system is disconnected or on low power. Try looking into your computer again and checking.

running nearly the same setup as you are, gigabyte mobo,16 gig ram, PSU is a warlock. Your problem is your Corsair Hydro series H100I v2, i had one running up until a month ago, theyre ♥♥♥♥ after a few months. went back to the stock cooler and it fixed all overheating issues. That and the 8350 runs stupid hot normally. either get a good aircooler or custom watercooling, corsair is garbage for thier watercooling.

Difficult to say. I have the same CPU but haven't had any heat-related problems (I use a Thermalright cooler) even when running games at high settings.

to xilo, thanks for your input. Most help there has been in regards to this. Thanks for confirming something I couldn't get much confirmation on. Have had this doubt for a long time.

That thing sounds like a jet engine though; you can't even hear footsteps in the game because of the noise it generates.

True, but I would take jet engines over heat issues all day.

It's defo the game. Only in this game I'm getting 82 degrees C. It's on max settings 144 hz tho. Can run Fallout 4 with HD patch on high settings and my cpu temp goes up to 75. And in other games it's 72 tops. It's intel tho. But still.

Yeah, but you can get a bulky but good Thermalright cooler for pretty cheap, that should solve all your noise & heat problems.
