Levels don't matter for skill. That just demonstrates time spent playing to game. I'm about 60-70 and get to platinum frequently yet play casual against people level 150+ that are simply awful. To each their own as long as they're having fun playing and not cheating.
this is another point people cant seem to get through their head

I think they should add some sort of soft ranking system for casual. Just like Dota does. In fact, Siege should copy a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of things from Dota.
Thats the problem with seasons. First game back since the very beggining of parrabellum and I dropped 15 kills against coppers and bronze players. MM needs to take into account your past ranks.

It doesn't, that's why you get people who just started playing and diamonds with really high levels.

It actually does it was added in white noise I believe and goes off your casual win loss ratio. If a diamond has never played cas before he has no MMR so he could go against bad players. The reason I started creating alt accounts to smurf on was because of the casual mmr system. As a diamond I played against diamonds in ranked and diamonds in casual. There was no way to play this game and not have to sweat.

*cough* Imagine having such a trash MM system that it goes unnoticed. Also I don't recall seeing it mentioned on the patch notes, but whatever.

Yeah, that would just be awful if players were forced to play against people at their own skill level. I'm so glad you found a way around this system that was designed to make the game balanced and fun for the majority of the customer base.

True! But a level 150 would know more about the game than a level 50. Doesn't mean they knmow what to do with that info, but they know about it! lol

it didnt really go unnoticed, but they did give reason as why it wasnt in the notes:
...When asked why the news was not included in the 50-page patch notes, Ubisoft say: “The final go was given after the patch notes were written. With the patch notes being 50 pages long, they needed to be completed quite some time ago to show for localization in the various different languages.”

would depend on the person, when i played on xbox, i made it to leel 78 and plat 2 without actually knowing the maps or a majority of the mechanics. while yes, level can mean they have some info, but it doesnt always

The casual MMR system was reversed due to insane queue times for players

It hasn't been active since Blood Orchid

I told Ubi how to fix this would be to simply base placement match matchmaking on last seasons highest mmr/rank for the players.

It's simply not that hard to do

Casual should be casual. If you want people at your skill level play ranked and quit crying.
