CS:GO is pretty bad, but not nearly as bad as people try to make it out to be. VAC is a non-intrusive anti-cheat with little permissions to your PC. Because of that it is easier to bypass, but it doesn't mean VAC is useless. It has very little false positives which is a good thing. Plus, even BattlEye has false banned people (MacieJay).
I've only ran into one blatant cheater on this game and he was banned an hour later. I wish they WOULD do the CS:GO thing and give back elo/erase the match if a cheater was banned in your game though.
Yeah, I've run into the diamondboost.me people multiple times. Absolute ♥♥♥♥ heads. Thought I did good recording and getting their accounts banned through ubisoft support, but I guess if theyre throwaway accounts it doesnt even matter.
