You would use it because of the higher fire-rate, and the option to use the angled grip.

In close quarters, when you are pushing, those will give you an advantage. On the other hand, if you have a little more range and are defending/sniping, the vertical grip and higher damage of L85A2 will probably be better.

ar33 is faaar better

depends on the map for me. if i play something like house which is really close quarter, i'd go with the ar33, but on larger maps like kanal the l85 is my weapon of choice.

i use it because the L85 is too mainstream

AR33 = Higher RoF & Angled grip, it really depends of your playstyle, if you're agressive choose AR33, if not then go for L85 for longer range
