Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

What's Up With Custom Games?
They claim to be "dedicated". But the ping, and hit reg issues are WAY worse than any of the dedicated servers for Casual/Ranked.

We did some 3v3+a spectator with our normal 5 man players. There's 9 of us who play and swap out with each other for Ranked games, and when too many of us are on at once we do 3v3s or 4v4s. Keep in mind we're all on the same skill level of mid-high gold.

And yet we have problems where even the spectator catches gadgets/cams/headshots only getting hit by bullets a short time after being shot (it's not a lot of time. But it's super noticeable). Shields (especially BB's rifle shield) will commonly fail to block bullets from a head on shot. Players could round corners and still die from bullets (possibly related to the before mentioned "delayed" bullets).

It's all issues we almsot never run into in normal play.

It's kind of a shame too. As we genuinely use this to develop new tactics. I'd rather host my own server via peer-to-peer than deal with whatever these issues are.

i never did a custom game with people so i wouldnt know, just to test out operators and such
but if theres a host, when the host leaves is the server gone?
it could be a problem with the host

No. They’re dedicated and not peer-to-peer. Which once again begs the question of why it performs worse than normal play.

no idea why its dedicated when ubisoft can easily run it off of a host like every other game
just sounds like a giant waste of money
