the simplest one a beginner could play is kapkan for defender
for attacker, just pick anyone

Lesion on Defense, amazing gun and no real need to think about ur trap placement unlike with Kapkan for instance. As long as it's on a pretty consistent texture it's invisible.

On Attack, Ash is a good bet since the body hit boxes are practically non existent. You can really get away with dumb moves with her, so a good operator to learn with without really failing nearly as often.

Rook and Doc can help you with understanding anchoring on defense and for roam go either Bandit or Jäger. On attack Sledge or Ash is a good beginning

Rook is best for defence, fire and forget device that helps your team and you can do your own thing after deploying the armor plates. Attacker maybe Sledge, he is a good soft breacher with 2 nades, good gun, medium speed and you can make big holes in walls or floors with this hammer (also killing someone with the sledgehammer is actually a good feeling lmao)

Rook is a great starting op for new players. All you have to do is put your Rook armor plates down and sit on site. His MP5 is one of the best guns in the game and has incredibly low recoil.

Any of the vanilla (starting operators) are great for beginners. They are the least complicated and simple to use compared to all the additions to the game.
