My mic doesn't work

it only shows this grey plug instead of my mic, I can't speak nor hear others

This is really common man. Try:
1. Going to sound settings and setting your mic as your 'Default device' and also your 'Default Communications Device.'
2. If that doesnt fix it just disable all your microphone devices in your sound settings on windows except for the one youll be using.
R6 has a really weird way for detecting your default mic.

Make sure to plug-in the microphone before you start the R6S. My microphone didn't work because of such a stupid reason sometimes.. As if Windows have been finding hard to believe, it was a microphone, once I plugged it in, while having R6S on and selected the option to use it as a microphone.

First of, make sure to check the options in-game; To either Push-To-Talk or Open. I preffer Open, while using a key to mute and unmute it, if I want to say something.
However, you must use the same key as you use on Steam, Dcord, etc., if you wanna talk to someone via those communication softwares.

If this still doesn't work, make a double-check, that the plug is completely in, not broken inside or outside, etc.

If nothing works.. Well, then try a different microphone. If nothing,... Then give up. It's no longer worth your time, if it takes that much time.. As you play R6S to have fun, not to be the best player in the World, right? ...
