bandit chain electricity?
Car battery will jump to other barbed wire if they are touching, making it more useful, cause elecltrfying a single piece barbed wire is useless as there is a sodding great big battery sticking out,

if the electricty could travel it would allow for interesting traps

Also a way for bandit to shock castle barricades maybe?

I was thinking about this a while ago, it's a great and logical idea. However I don't agree with the Castle idea.

i was thinking castle needed a bit of a buff, too many people can counter him

I agree, but it wouldn't make sense because the barricade doesn't seem to be metal...

tbh i think Bandit's gadget needs to be something else other than a car battery. Do they really use car batteries in tactical situations? Also i think bandit should automically set down shock wire or a shock barricade by default without consuming a battery. It will up the complexity of the character and also give more utility ot him to utilize his battieries. But these are my opinions.

bandit is the best def. operator because of the bandit trick not because of the shock wire, but I agree the need to buff the shock wire to have more options on bandit then just doing the trick and going full radical

Car battery may not be realistic, but Bandit's gadget viability comes from Bandit tricking. Not possible if the shock is already applied to wire or barricades.

You only need 1 battery to trick. That means you have 2 spare.

Yea but that was a player-made tactic after the fact. Im not saying its not viable but after the bandit trick what does his gadget do? Its too easy to destroy the huge as block behind obvious electrified obstacles.

The idea behind the bandit trick is to knock out Thermite's charges (and probably Hibana's once she's in use), after the fact it can be used on walls to damage players in tight hallways or angles. Also can be used to destroy drones with shields or wire. I'm not going to deny that Bandit maybe wasn't a great idea at the outset (Ubi or the community could have come up with something better, I'm sure), but I do think his batteries have become pretty valuable once tricking became common. Keeping some extra walls intact is worth being easy to destroy after.

I dont think the bandit trick will work with Hibana since itll be a grenade launcher not a deployable. The timing required and the key effects are different and for kabana much faster than what a seasoned bandit can ever counter to.

Also I play bandit and i know his style as well but I feel like after the thermites are taken care of the gadget is next to useless compared to the other defensive operators gear in long term viability. I mean shock wire and shock shield are easily taken care of with grenades or avoiding it. I think a major improvement would be to electrify metal objects other than wire.

Yeah I can understand that. He's a good roamer after the fact, his gadget does suffer after tricking. What other objects would you want to see him electrify?

And about Hibana, after watching the gameplay videos, it looks like we will be able to trick her gadget. There's a delay in its activation (not sure if player sets it off or it's just a timer), so hopefully we'll be able to defend against her that way.

I think Maciejay posted a video of him trying to Bandit trick Hibana and it didn't work, not sure if it was a bug or intentional but as it stands right now it doesn't appear to work.

Oh ok, must have missed that. Thanks for the correction!

It's intentional. During the demonstration of Hibana on the Pro League stream this weekend, the developers clearly stated that they wanted Hibana to not be affected by the Bandit Trick. The charges are destroyed if they are electrified before they are activated, but if they are activated and afterward electrified before they blow up, it won't have an effect and the wall will go down. They didn't really provide any explanation about why the charges would behave that way, though.

You can't use only one battery for all metal items in contact because imagine you take Bandit + 4 recruits (with 3 barbed wire/recruit) : you have 14 barbed wire. 1 barbed wire = 2m long. Place all of them in a line and you have 28m with electricity (with only one battery!). you are at one side, battery is at the other side. How do you pass through?
And why should we play Mute if only one battery protect 3 reinforced walls?
