Sounds like people are just upset because they're gonna get clapped by someone wearing it and can't use the excuse of "I didn't see them because they blended in".
Also it's something that was already added to the game that I've noticed had no effect other than people cussing you out in chat if you kill them while wearing any of the goofy skins from any of the events.
But however as a advisering and marketing strategic campaign there sure was a lot talk about it and both R6: Siege and Twitch got lots of attention. But not enough for me to join Twitch Prime for a Pizza Mozzie.
Guess its the same with the Rainbow is Magic, but at least the furry community are representable
