I'm sorry to hear that this has been occurring.

The first thing we'd advise is starting in a Clean Boot, as this will stop any processes that aren't to do with Windows. You can do this through the steps here[support.microsoft.com]

If the game continues to not close properly, please try verifying the game files. This will check for any missing or corrupted files and replace them. You can do this through the steps here

Same problem, used these steps provided by UbiHolz, problem has not gone away. Ever since the update a few weeks ago this has been a problem. Extremely annoying.

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble with this. I have just looked and currently we do not have any information about this. I recommend to try the remaining steps here to see if they resolve the issue: {LINK REMOVED}

If it doesn't help, can you please get some video footage of this issue so i can pass it on directly to the R6S team to check into

Problem is caused by MSI Afterburner and RTSS being open. Reason unknown. Closing them before closing the game prevents this from happening.

Seein the same issue, and yes I use afterburner. I will test to see if closing before the game fixes, but hopefully the game can be corrected to work with afterburner and rtss.

Were you able to test that out, did it work?

I imagine that this would need to be a patch to Afterburner to fix this, it may be worth contact them regarding this. As they may not be aware of these issues.

why is it that the problem gets chuged up to afterburner. before the latest Siege update, the game worked just fine. and now everytime i play the game, it fails to quit properly. i have to manually force quit the process by going into task manager and kill the task manually. this shouldn't happen. and you shouldn't chug it up to afterburner. millions of games work with afterburner, and only the latest siege update broke this. clearly it's not an isolated issue. in the last update, when you guys made the game incompatbiel with afterburner's FPS counter, and real-time clock speed read-out, i just decided altogether to not play the game. you have to understand that MSI AB is THE most popular in-game real-time companion read-out app. almost every gamer use it. that's like pointing at the sky and say YOU CLOUD! STOP RAINING, instead of bringing an umbrella.

Yes, it happend to me too. After i closed MSI Afterburner, then tried, it closed normally without me manually closing it from task manager. Seems like this has happend after the Grim Sky update.

Game wont stop running
I recently bought the game and the game does not stop running after i close it. I have shut down Uplay as well, but it does not stop. The only way i can make it stop running and collecting hours is if i exist steam and get back on, but that is only a temporary fix,
Baxxy.Nut Dec 26, 2018 @ 8:45am
Also, i cannot launch the game due to it already running.
