Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

VERTICAL vs ANGLED GRIP
Vertical Grip: Reduces vertical kick to some good extent ( Especially first 5 bullets.. ) with slower ADS.

Angled Grip: Reduces ADS time by 33% with extended vertical kick ( Especially first 5 bullets.. )

I have a good control over my recoil and so I generally prefer angled grip in all my weapons including Ela's primary xD

Today, I thought of using some vertical grip and the results were so astonishing. I could spray enemies at a distance of 20m more precisely where I usually do tap fire!
I felt stupid for using angled grip ( just a thought )...

I know its all about individual's preference .... In an aim battle ( most preferably in higher ranks like plats and diamonds )... what would be your opinion ?

Going with vertical grip for precise shots or using Angled grip for some quick ADS ?

( Correct me if I'm wrong ... )

I tend to prefer vertical grip but I do have a few weapons that just work better with angled grip.

I'd go for vertical grip for precise shots because, it's better than not having a precise shot I guess? As long as you don't miss those shots it'll do.

My friends use vertical on everything except few weapons where recoil is almost null ( Vigil's K1A, Mozzie's Commando 9, Castle & Pulse's UMP )

I always use the angled on BB's Scar especially, its ads time is disgusting without it.

The angled grip is very situational and generally shouldn't be used. Most of the time you will already be aiming when the fight starts (or at least you should be), making the angled grip useless in the majority of firefights. The vertical grip helps you in every firefight and is the better choice by a distance.Pro players have crazy good recoil control and can afford to go without the benefits of the vertical grip, but even then, most pro players still use the vertical.

If you've got insane recoil control, you might be okay with the angled grip. The vertical grip is going to be the better option for 99% of players. The only weapon that the angled grip is the best choice for is the BOSG. The angled grip can sometimes be a good idea on Alibi's Mx4 Storm if you like to play mind games with her. The angled grip and reflex sight is designed to make it easier to fool opponents into thinking Alibi is a decoy. The vertical grip is much more obvious than the angled because it sticks out more and changes Alibi's hand positioning on the weapon. The angled grip is much harder to see at first glance and doesn't change Alibi's hand positioning.

i only use vertical grip because im more of a pre-aim person and like to full auto my enemies (hold the trigger and load all bullets without delay) than tapping

Yeah. I found this to be the perfect reply to your question.
Uncle Sam Apr 7, 2019 @ 1:14pm
Well it mostly depends if you got or not good recoil control and your reaction time.
In my case I'll prefer the angled grip in roamers / attackers who I use as entry fraggers, etc.
Also to keep in mind the angled grip isn't available to all weapons, while the vertical grip is for most weapons.
But on support / anchor / lurker / flank watcher operators it's better the vertical grip Imo.
In general it's personal preference. Like the sight selection, most people use reflex or holo while I prefer red dot but not in all weapons.
Melodious Blue Apr 7, 2019 @ 1:18pm
Let me put it like this. Do you rush people a lot as either an attacker or a roaming defender and find yourself not being able to pull up your gun fast enough after meeting someone in a hallway while rotating and therefor lose the battle? Angled grip.

Do you find yourself taking a slower approach to the object by holding tighter angles and/or spawnpeeking? vertical grip.

These are the standards I go by when deciding what grip to use on certain ops

I was using angled grip on everything. I don't hold myself to a section where people categorize themselves as an attacker/defender being aggressive or passive.

I was surprised when I started using Vertical grip yesterday (like the shots going more precise - I'm talking about a target at a distance of 15+ m ... )

I was little dumb deciding that the angled grip gives you instant ADS to take out a target at that distance.

For Example: Even the players, who are good in controlling recoil, use vertical grip ( not all of em ) on most of their weapons. It amazed me.

I was little confused realizing it.

By any chance, did you guys realize the advantage of one over the other ?

( I know that.... At the end, it all depends on individual's preference )

Well if it works for you great, keep going ahead! I've known the pros & cons of each one because I've been playing since November 2015 during the closed - open beta period of time.
And back then the ADS time wasn't standardized, horizontal recoil kicked harder in multiple weapons and the angled grip wasn't a thing, etc.

Nice to hear from you. So, what would be your suggestion for me ?
