Don't be sexist, give Iana a normal victory pose
It's disappointing how a progressive company like Ubisoft is pandering to the male gaze so overtly and purposely sexualizing their characters just for profit.

This isn't a korean free to play fps. You don't need to overtly sexualize your characters. Ubisoft have been good in terms of diversity and gender representation so I have faith they will do the right thing.

Hi Razin,

Thank you so much for your feedback and taking the time out of your day to share your feelings on this with us.

As for the rest of the thread, since it's derailed into a discussion about Ela and balance, I'm going to be closing this thread.

It's intentionally done for the purpose of pandering to the male gaze. The game doesn't need to do that. Such actions are beneath them.

Out of curiosity, how many people actually cares about her pose? Normally people would just care how good her guns or abilities are ingame or how op or weak she is. This is like that Overwatch issue again where people kept crying about Tracer's pose but those are the same people who don't even play the game at all.

It's a 3D character in a game whose 3D model is just facing backwards a bit, we can't keep calling everyone sexist just because they're standing behind someone and their butt/hindquarters/a*s (however you want to call it) is in view.

Is it already sexist that every third person view game is showing your character's backside?

The male gaze doesn't exist, what if a lesbian plays the game? Is it still the male gaze? You are starting to sound like a misandrist to me...
Why is it that games like Call of Duty and Battlefield can have women represented in their games without wearing tight outfits and showing their behind? You can't be serious.

There's female characters in Call of Duty?

Funny you bring that up, because Blizzard actually changed the pose because they realized they were in the wrong. Will Ubisoft do the same?

Is this a serious question?

Personal headcannon. Iana is a male.

They actually changed that to appease the people saying it was too sexist but also didn't change it too much. They made the pose, "tamer" to suit those people complaining.

Also, those were the same people were also complaining that a 3D character's body (Tracer and Widowmaker) was impossible to achieve in reality thus making them extremely uncomfortable.

This is such a BS my friend.

A lot of OPS in R6 wear quite tight cloths.
You're just trying to MAKE a problem that isn't a problem at all. If you feel so offended by it, why not just leave?
UBI did a lot to change sexist images out of it's game but just a normal pose isn't allowed anymore because people think it's sexually triggering.

Shall we just replace all OPS with gummy bears and the blood to sugar fluids and while the character falls down on the ground he's instantly being blurred?

Tell me, is it sexist for operators like Oryx to pose flexing his muscles for the female gaze?

Remember, it's only sexist if it's the females being "sexualized" but if it's a guy, the entire community fighting for equality is silent especially if it's about clothes or poses.

I care about this game and I want it to be better. If I didn't love the game, I wouldn't care.

Yet all you do is lurk the discussions and complain. Noone actually sees you playing.

People care about the game too.

The thing is, people care about bug fixes, Clash being enabled again, nerfs, buffs, abilities, new guns, people being able to use their main in ranked again and Recruit.

Character design is a concern placed in the back as it offers no new balances and experiences to the game.

This isn't a Korean free to play game where their main pull is character appearance and game mechanics can come afterwards.

A pose showing a bit of back in a fully clothed character with nothing sexualized about her won't be the end of the game.
