You can't. There's a difference between Uplay version Rb6 apparently and Steam version Rb6 when it comes to files despite being the same game using the same resources and servers.
You can still add your friends on steam in uplay as they also have uplay accounts anyway.
They handle their free weekends events differently. Whats free to play for the weekend on uplay doesn't always happen on steam despite it being the same game from the same company unless steam announces it too.
It's only on uplay unless steam announces it too like how AC unity was free to download and own back then on Uplay but not on steam or how AC syndicate was free to download and own on Epic store but not on steam.
Nice, at least there's an announcement to clear things up on where people can play it.
