Mute rework idea - portable jammers
I was thinking about a new idea for Mute.

Maybe there should a new option for him where he can either deploy his signal disruptor like default and then there should be a secondary ability where he can drop them like in backpack like Rook. Then the other operators can pick a signal disruptor and have to carry it around.

The trade off would be of cause there is only four avail for the whole team, so you have to take one fast and of cause the signal disruptor would make that white noise sound.

What do you think about that idea ?

As someone who plays a lot of Mute, this would be an interesting change to his character! When you say that they get to pick one up, do you mean one to physically put down? Or is it like attached to the character itself? I would assume you meant one to physically place down. I think it could be useful for some roamers on some maps, but I am not entirely sure if it would be completely feasible. I appreciate the idea though!

Imagine portable mute tricking. I'm alright.
Then we also have a hard counter against Dokkaebi and Lion, Thatcher can of cause destroy them as usual with his EMP grenade. And of cause IQ can detect the operators there has a signal disruptor in there backpack.

Mute is already a hard counter, you're stupid, surely, Imagine just mute tricking, or how strong roamers would be, being unable to get droned.
I would actually be a little dangerous for the roamers to take a signal disruptor because they are making a lot of white noise. So basic its best for the anchors.

Then use mute normally. he doesnt need buff

I think Mute should have a passive ability where he is immune to Lion and Dokkaebi.
Although this can be a opportunity for griefing purposes as this feature allows it. Pretty sure this is a great idea to have portable jammers for the purpose of a new operator. Something along the lines of Vigil's ERC-7 lore wise since Dokkaebi and Mute focuses on this type of profession. The idea of giving portable jammers would be a great addition for supporting your roamers. Maybe a one time use only where it attaches the jammer to the phones that lasts up to 40 seconds so it won't make Mute outclassed. This can counter Jackal, Dokkaebi, and Lion which can solve the issue of being tracked.

There's already many ideas of different drone types just like shield variations (smoke, assault shield from BO2/deployable shield hybrid, ramming spikes, etc.) floating around in reddit. Not to the extreme like the CoD BO2 drones like RC-XD, AGR, and Hunter Killer. Currently Siege only has 2 movable drones; Twitch and Echo (excluding Lion and Mozzie).

Siege can borrow the drones from Ghost Recon Wildlands like EMP to replace Thatcher or Medic seeing how Twitch and Nomad (not the Siege operator) exchanged the lines in Operation Archangel of sharing Skell Tech.

I was thinking that when you pick the signal disruptor as a other operator then you have attach to yourself either in your belt, vest or backpack and then it function as mobil jammer device when you move around.

But it also dangerous because the enemy team can of cause hear the white noise from it.

as a Mute main, I'd prefer buffing how fast he deploys his jammers, since most of the time I don't have enough time to reinforce and get in position.

It feels like his deploy time got longer actually

I think a Mute deployment speed buff would be interesting. Perhaps Mute-Tricking could become a thing.
