Uplay keeps requesting to make changes when launching the game.
Whenever I launch the game, the uplay thing pops up with the windows sound, then it asks to make changes to the computer. I have to click yes 4 times before uplay even launches.

Hey there,

Can I check whether you are able to use Ubisoft Connect as intended after these requests?

Many thanks,

I have the same issue as well, but it happens 3 times for me. If I don't have Ubisoft Connect running in the background before I launch the game through Steam, it makes me go through the process of clicking "yes" every time the window shows up. By that time, it cancels the launch request for the game, so I need to click or launch the game again.

If I already had Ubisoft Connect running in the background, the game either launches as normal or requires me allow Ubisoft Connect to make changes again. I have no idea what causes there to be a sudden change to request it. I play off a desktop computer, my connection never changes nor am I ever accessing the game from any other location.

A hotfix or something like that would be appreciated.

Hey Jacques, thanks for your post about this! Can you try the below fix for me?

Please try intentionally launching Ubisoft Connect with admin rights. Our support article[www.ubisoft.com] describes how to do this. It'll prompt you a few more times - please accept those. Once it is open and running, close it again, and then turn off admin rights and try again to launch it. Hopefully you should find that further launches will not be prompted for admin rights.

Does that seem to work? Please let me know. If not, I'll see what else we can suggest.

Hi, why does Ubisoft need admin rights? I can deny the admin request and it works just fine. In fact, I've configured mine to always deny admin rights. And even if it did need admin rights to function better or whatever, why does it ask for the same thing 4 times?
In the absence of a decent response to the question I think you can assume that Ubisoft is installing kernel-level "anti-cheat" backdoors and compromising the security of your system.

It's actually ridiculous that Steam allows publishers to sell this malware on their platform.
