Does his new gadget counter thatcher? Like say i was playing chalet could i throw a few of his gadgets outside to counter thatcher

Yes, Wami's gadget can catch and destroy Thatcher's EMP grenades.

It can be used this way. But do remember to throw the magnet further because the gadget only pulls the EMP grenade into itself, the grenade still detonates and destroy/disable gadgets.

Thatcher's EMP range is 5 m, so it should not be that efficient if wamai's gadget is not few meters outside the objective.

Don't forget his EMP still affects through walls so Wamai's magnets don't even catch it like Jager's ADS. Position it from places where they would throw to catch it more often than where it lands. You can sometimes get unexpected kills by this if you're really lucky (witnessed Capitao kill 2 of his teammates like this).
