Getting a new mouse. A little help?
I'm gonna try to keep this short. I've been using the G502 for a while and it's showing signs of age. I've been wanting to upgrade to the G502 Lightspeed for a while now but the G Pro wireless caught my eye as a lighter mouse would definitely improve my aim. I'd love to keep the 8 extra buttons the G502 and its wireless counterpart have but I'd also love to get a much lighter mouse. Which should I buy? Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: The g703 also looks like a good pick, as it's cheaper and has a similar form factor to the g pro, except it has a tilt wheel. Although it is 40 grams heavier

You need to ask yourself, do you really need those extra buttons? A smaller and lighter mouse is better and people have reported that it actually helped them aim easier. Currently there is no difference between wired and wireless in terms of performance, most wireless mices from reputable brands have gotten so good that it hardly matters anymore.

I had the g502 then switched to a cheaper
and lighter mouse (g403 I think) and it makes playing at 400 dpi way easier.

I have no issues moving my crosshair. My hands are big though so sometimes I fat finger the middle mouse when shooting.

Yeah I like the extra buttons because it not only provides extra flexibility between games and genres but it also allows you to bind more actions to your mouse, such as melee, grenade/breaching charge, and operator ability.

I use the MSI DS 300 and love it. It's very resonably priced for a gaming mouse as well.

Razer Boomslang, non-optical (mouse ball) if you can find and afford one. There is no better mouse. IMO.

In competitive FPS, most players don't really assign or use that much macro even in professional play because they are dead set in fully utilizing their mouse to aim, shoot and/or reload at most. If you are into an FPS like Siege then definitely get a good wireless mouse like the G903, G Pro wireless or Razer Viper Ultimate though personally I'm not a fan of Razer mices since their software is obnoxious and intrusive compared to other manufacturers.

Yeah i'm not a fan of razer's software at all. The only razer products I own are the base station chroma and the firefly v2 cuz i'm an rgb fiend

I kinda hate razer's software. Although I think razer's more extravagant with their RGB

OH yeah. Razer is basically just RGB. I hate the feel of their mice though. They dont fit my smol hands. Ive only ever used the Logitech G502 legitimately but i liked the mx master when I used it for a little.

I am currently using the same G502 lightspeed but also own a corsair harpoon rgb which should be pretty close from the logitech g pro wireless. If you feel the G502 is too heavy, then you should definitely try the g pro wireless.

Also, talking about aiming, think about getting a good mousepad and set up your sensitivity. If you like logitech, their G640 mousepad would be a good peek. Its dimensions would allow you to decrease your sensitivity significantly.

I already have a pretty good mousepad. It's the razer firefly v2.
