What's considered a good rank?
Generally just curious, I started playing seriously for the first time this last week, I've owned the game for years but only would play a couple days at a time and get burnt out on not knowing maps and whatnot. I decided to go ahead and do my placements and I got Gold 2 but i'm currently one game away from Plat 3. My biggest issue now is I need to learn call outs because it seems a lot of people are saying things I don't understand mid game yet, I'm pretty comfortable with my shooting in game so far though.

The majority of the community that plays rank places in high Silver-low Gold. However, I hope the people who aren't in that group don't feel bad. This game has a lot of elements that players need to learn if they're gonna get to a higher rank. There's plenty of time to improve!

Play more casual and unranked to learn the maps and callouts before playing ranked.

I understand that, but you didn't really answer my question.

Gold 2, is a fairly decent rank, same with Gold 1. They're ranks you should definitely feel content with. Plat 3, 2 and 1 are good ranks and Diamond/Champion are pretty top-tier ranks to have.

I'd say, being at Gold II or higher, you're already being better than just a classy average player.

Might i recommend watching the esports revolved around to learn the call outs. And to not worry about your rank. A majority are in gold and plat and its super easy to get out of silver and bronze. Gold is what i see fairly often and never feel insulted by people calling out your rank. Remember its just a game.

What? I thought, the majority is stuck in Silver!
Could you pass us an URL source of the official statistics?

Sorry i meant to type silver and gold. my b. Silver is filled with smurfs or derankers thats the reason why its hard to get out of silver. The current meta is leaning towards no intel so i think it should be fairly easy to get out of silver now.

If Silver is filled with derankers and smurfs, how can it be easier to Rank up to the Gold Ranks, where are those derankers and smurfs too?
It doesn't make sense to me.

really depends on what region you're from. I am from the APAC region and I'm diamond. Skill level varies depending on what region you play in. If you can manage to be hard stuck plat 2 in any region, you'll be considered as the 'above average' player. However, taking it more seriously/competitively you're going to have to play within teams and scrim against each other. Take it from me Tyblex
