Kaid's Shotgun OP af or not?
Just got domed across the map plane while kaid was at the front entrance and we were at the back. Spawnpeeks from the stairs leading up to the front door and he just sits there. My question, is Kaid's Shotgun OP or is it not? Me personally, I believe the devs should nerf kaid in general, magnum with a sniper scope, ehh okay, I can deal with that. Shotgun with supressor AND acog, meh alright. It's just the range and how far the damage is carried.

its a slug shotgun, but i think they should fix the mag scope, cause of how visible it is

I think the damage should stay the same but the damage falloff should be much, much sharper. It's a shotgun, after all. So sniping should be less optimal

in my opinion, the shotgun is not good at close range, but at long range it is destroying, so i would like the ACOG to get removed, all in all i think its balanced

I understand that it's a slug shotgun, while irl people can make shots much longer than the length I'm talking about, there would be damage falloff as Demonwing mentioned. I don't know alot about weapons, just the basics, but surely the damage would not stay the same taking a 500m shot with slugs?

Personally, I would agree with Wolfsmaul. The TCSG12 is a slug shotgun, designed to be more fit for longer ranges than that of an ordinary 12 or 20 gauge. The removal of the ACOG should be the only thing done to balance it. The range and damage is suitable for the type of weapon that it is, plus in more situations than not, Kaid's AUG A3 is a better pick.

Its bad. The gun is bad. None of the dmrs have as bad of a recoil as this gun has and its very unpleasant to control. I think his aug should have scog instead of the dmr

It's a slug shotgun, not a spread shotgun, so it's falloff would be the same of any other gun. It's just Bosg 2 electric boogaloo

Also the guy said he got domed, so he would have died regardless of what gun he was hit by (unless it was a spread shotgun, those won't get headshots across the entire map)

And that's exactly the problem. The BOSG has 2 shots, long reload time and damage falloff starts at 10m. From 15m onwards it isn't a one shot shotgun anymore and the recoil is hard, so it's unlikely you'll land the second shot. Kaid's shotgun just removes all the downsides and skill from Vigil's shotgun

Yes, it's not a spread shotgun, it's a slug shotgun. I know that, but again, there would be falloff from the damage, like TerrenceTheTurtle said, but the fact that there isn't any (afaik). Also the fact that every other shotgun got nerfed, and this one stays the same being able to hit anyone within 500m.

I don't think it's OP but I do think it's inconsistent. Why is it so much better than Vigil and Doki slug gun in every way?

That is true, but I mean, hasn't ubisoft always released operators pretty powerful and nerfed them later on? They'll probably nerf the shotgun soon
