Xbox one controller help!!!

I'm using an xbox one controller and the controller works just fine, except.... When i use the drone, the right thubsick is basically useless. I can move the drone forward back left right and jump, but I am unable to look around with it. I can look around if use the touchpad on my laptop but even that is patchy and doesnt always work. Otherwise everything else works flawlessly.

Please let me know if anyone else has this isue or might know how to resolve it.

I'm new to PC gaming and I still have a lot to learn.

I prefer to use a controller when I play offline because it's more convenient for me

i bought an xbox controller with my PC but i still dont use it in FPS games
use it in driving and platform games though

there isnt any binding for a controller on siege, but try replugging the xbox controller if its wired
if its wireless then try disconnecting and reconnecting

if that doesnt work then try verifying cache, maybe its corrupted files?
to verify cache, go in your steam library, right click rainbow six siege, click on properties, go on the local files tab, and click on verify integrity of game files

You need to click keybindings then click the screen a second time. It's wonky.

Just because you have the tools to do something doesn't mean it's smart to do it.

People stream games talking to the chat etc putting themselves at an inconvenience... doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be able to do it comfortably.

Okay so I messed around with it some more and this what I have found...

First off I verified the integrity of the game cache files and nothing has changed.

Then I toggoled the option in the controls menu which was the "raw controls (keyboard mouse)" and i turned that on.

Now, this is where it gets weird, when i use the drone, if I tap on my touchpad i can use the right thimbstick to look around, but as soon as I move with the left thumbstick or jump or do any other action, it's like it disables my right thumbstick again until i tap my touchpad on my keyboard again and then I can look around. I also can't look while moving so I kind've have to set which direction I want to look then move then go the process over again which is very frustrating.

What issues you need to have to play with controler on PC?

Check your deadzone for sticks, especially aiming, it can affect kb and mouse too.

Fix* Change controller type to “Gamepad” in game.In steam big picture bring up In game overlay. Controller config>Browse config>Template>choose “Gamepad”
