How matchmaking works if I'm high rank and my friend is low rank

If I'm plat and I'm leading the squad will we get into a plat lobby?
If he leads the squad I'll be against lower ranks?
Or it just doesnt matter and we could be matched with everyone from plat to lower ranks?

I don't want to play against bronze neither want him to play against plats with me, so if it will just be random we might consider to move into ranked to try boost him otherwise we going casual. It's ok to boost a friend but I'm not gonna play against my players rank if we basically have to play 4v5 neither I want to not have fun against lower ranks :)

Well I dont believe into ranks/skill since I've found silvers way better than me and golds very low on skill

This is totally true, a lot of people abuse the system this way tbh.
