Why is knifing so broken?
I can either knife you 10ft away or phase through you like you don't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ exist point blank 3 times in a row then die.

You probably shouldnt waste time knifing unless you're blitz or ash

If you want an example of a "broken" melee system, play PUBG, then describe Siege's as "broken".

Both are pretty bad tbh, and both should be fixed.
Even in CS the melee system "feels" it works as intended, here it either doesn't work or work when shouldn't.

Its because melee has a swing in this game but the animations are terrible from a feedback perspective.

You don't hitscan with melee you kinda enter an instakill state for half a second so you can swing and sprint at someone and it feels like you got hit from a mile away or something.

It shouldn't have been fixed a while ago? After all bullets come out the sight, and are hit scan, even gadgets like zofia, ash & capitao are hit scan instead of "projectiles" as they should be.

It's a problem of balancing delivery versus reception. If we made knifes hitscan it would be so painful to use and you'd still get instakilled. The only solutions are to add counterplay to knifing or remove it. I'd argue counterplay exists already by shooting them in the forehead and not sprinting at doorways.
