Is Echo a roamer or anchor?

I'm thinking of buying him next. However, I'm not really a roamer type of defender.

He's can be used as a roamer, but if you got killed your gadget is useless. So he's best used as a anchor to deny plants.

It's not entirely useless, it can still be used as a hidden camera.

Well but if you're roaming with echo, you will have yokais nearby you to assist you. In case you die those cameras will be where you were roaming.
Unless you let 1 yokai at the obj and the other with you.
Also if you die roaming you can't deny defuser plants.

I might be a bit drastic calling it useless, but if you're placing gadgets and going to roam a better "intel alternative" is velkry.

I agree. Ultimately all the defenders can roam, because they actually own their entire in-door surroundings. But obviously you have to have operators/anchors to look out for the objective when the enemy apporaches. And so, operators like Echo fulfill that job better than roaming.

It mostly depends on the player but he's a bit of both there. His gadget is mostly useful to deny plants but it also fits for a hidden camera, as stated before.
