When I buy a skin (ruby) can I have it forever or? If I cant, how long can I have it?

Year 2. Season 4. Operation White Noise.

Ruby can be used on any weapon from release to forever. That specific skin has no season limit

I dont know where you read this "until season 4" thing, I bought the Platinum skin back in Year 1 Season 2, and I can still use it on the new ops

Those are the seasonal weapon skins, 2-4 come out every season and you can only buy them when they are for sale. They also only apply on every weapon released until then, and cant be on new guns released after they are taken off. But the Ruby, Topaz, Gold, Amethyst, Emerald and Sapphire are for every weapon for every season.
