Is it illegal to buy r6 credits from other sites and if it is so, how bannable is this?
A friend of mine recently bought r6 credits on an unofficial website. The reason he did it was that on that site credits were much cheaper. After searching for information on this topic, I could not find license agreement or any official comments from Ubisoft on this issue. So my question is: Is it illegal to buy r6 credits from other sites and if it is so, how bannable is this? :ETMHappiness:
UPD: Guys, I know that sites like this might be scams and stuff, but 1. He had 2-step verification 2. He really received credits. What im asking you is not your opinion (sorry). Im asking about the real acts or Ubi statements on this point.

Lmao that is not how any of that works man. There is no way for them to get your IP or your email's password by having your Ubi information. At all. Unless you stupidly use the same password for both.

Edit: I should clarify, I haven't done it myself, but I've done a good amount of research after hearing from an acquaintance that he did it. I've seen multiple reddit accounts that have said the same thing, that they were able to log in and add the credits to their account without needing 2FA approval. OP here even says the same thing, that the person he knows didn't have to approve. There's some loophole, which is a bit of a worry as far as security goes.

Thing is Ubisoft Store has no 2 step verification in place, so they can access with your usser/pass to buy the credits.

But mind you, from there, they can see your added credit cards (if this is not a red flag for you I don't know what is).

And they can also change the shipping address, so what stops them to spend whatever they want on physical content and have it sent to an address of their own?

If you want to do it at your own risk, ok. But this shouldn't be promoted of published here.

If you want to have problems with law, then go on ;)
All those third-party websites selling R6-credits are run by carders (hackers simply cash money from stolen cards through YOU). Ubi will get a chargeback from real owner of a credit card and you will get a ban or if you're lucky - suspension.

Ahh, that makes sense! That's a bit of an oversight that the Ubi Store doesn't use 2FA.

On your second point, then don't have a credit card on your account? You really shouldn't on most sites anyway, with how often sites get hacked these days. Could just have a Paypal account tied to your account instead. And if they change the address and try to order anything it won't be using your cards if they aren't saved on file (and they can't use your Paypal without logging into that during checkout).

But I agree, this shouldn't be condoned or promoted here, I just didn't like that before me the previous replies claimed they were going to steal your account and sell it. They can't do that unless you stupidly use the same password for your email.

Simple answer, I'd just play it safe and get them from trusted sources, or just grind.

You risk a 7-day ban but you get to keep the credits which is nice.

If you look at the code of conduct it say's this under Forbidden conduct.

"The purchase of in Game benefits, including but not limited to “MMR boosting services” from unlicensed vendors, as well as the promotion of such services."

So it is a bannable offence.

I've seen a few of these advertisment on ebay, they literally ask for your account info.. that alone should be a red flag. This most likely means they will use either a stolen credit card or other illegal methods of obtaining the r6 credits which 10/10 will lead right back to your account obtaining them illegally therefore perma ban.
Sic.bn 30 NOV 2018 a las 2:01 p. m.
He has a risk of getting ban because I once remember on their Twitter saying that they will ban anyone that buy from third party website becasue they think your account got hijacked so they ban it for safety purpose, and ban as in a PERMANENT BAN.

Yes its much more cheaper but Id rather pay some extra more than to have to give my account info to someone and get a cheap R6 BUT at the same time getting risk of having my account ban if I get unlucky.
