Is recoil script bannable?
Seeing as how no hacks is needed and because it can be done with official mouse macro software, is it bannable? It shouldn't be.

Ubisoft has recently changed their Code of Conduct to forbid ALL macro software, including the ones packaged with your mouse/keyboard drivers.

If you use a gaming mouse (or keyboard), Ubisoft technically has the right to ban your account permanently.

"It shouldn't be" the ♥♥♥♥.

Well it doesn't break the terms of service, so as such it shouldn't be bannable, even if "it should".

There's no need to try it out, it's part of mouse drivers/software.
No anti-cheat in the world bans you for having your drivers installed.

It's called thought provoking questions and falls under philosophy.

Stay in school kids, don't end up like this guy.

Yes it's bannable it's really no different that most of the cheats used these days. Typically a hacking script no longer injects itself into the game in question. A lot of cheats use an overlay system to identify the person then moves the cursor to a detected moving object on the screen. So in that regard it's exactly the same and Ubisoft would ban it just based on that fact. These kinds of hacks are common as they easily bypass detection. On the other hand it's in the TOS regarded as a cheat. Any external exploit and/or cheat (this would qualify) is bannable. That's the basic TOS for almost any and all online games for the past decade.

All that said they may never catch you however unless you're frequently reported. Even if you do end up getting banned there's a 50/50 chance you only get like 15 days. The second would likely be permanent. Since these kinds of cheats are hard to prove. Not sure on the banning length.

At which point does gaming software/drivers become a cheat/hack though.
Automated interval clicking? Force stop mouse movement? Key combination macros?

Right now this kind of hardware is advertised as "gaming", that gives you that little edge.

Oh nevermind, Ubisoft completely forbids the use of macro programs all together.
You may not use the included drivers for your keyboard/mouse hardware if it includes macros.

"FORBIDDEN CONDUCT: Use of macros."

I do believe this is a fairly new Code of Conduct change.

It's not thought provoking though, It's common sense that if Ubisoft knew of it, they'd take action and likely punish you. Whether they could detect it though, is another question.

You completely missed the point, and now you're deflecting so you wont look bad.

yeah but heres the thing
you are using an external program to litteraly get rid of one of the games mechanics, which is recoil

what is really the difference between a cheat program that injects itself and a program that just came with your mouse? they both do the same thing, and they are both considered cheating, therefore you are banned for cheating, NOT for using a macro

remember that nvidia gassist april fools thingy?
if you didnt hear it is: https://youtu.be/smM-Wdk2RLQ
if this was real, what would be the difference between using a third party cheat that does the exact same thing, or a product you just bought? the one difference is one just injects into the game, and is still cheating

The point was that you wanted to see if it's bannable, which by common sense it is, and it is.
