Hey though, a lot of games lock the menus at 60 FPS, I think Siege does this too, try loading up a match and see if it goes to 144.

still won't go to 144 hz. When i do it in game, it freezes the same, but i get kick out of the game for slow connection.

if you do alt+enter it will put u into full screen with 144 hz, but i cant go boarderless with 144 hz anymore
borderless with one screen below 144hz does this. you need to go real fullscreen.

we have fullscreen. its just when im in the menu it's at 60hz due to all settings being reset, but when i try to change to 144hz it just wont apply and goes back to 60hz

what do you mean both of your monitors?
Do you have 2 144hz monitors because if one of it is 60 hz thats what causing the problem imo

Close the game, open C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege\<bunch of random char. folder>\gamesettings.ini

Set these values manually:

Monitor=0 (Monitor=0 if it's "monitor 1" or Monitor=1 if it's "monitor 2" according to windows display adapters)
RefreshRate=144.000000 (Mine is 144hz, set your native refresh rate if it's different than mine.)
WindowMode=0
AspectRatio=0

Save file and launch the game.

I had the same issue and this is what I did to fix it.

If it doesnt fix, delete gamesettings.ini, launch the game, let it auto-detect the configuration. Close the game and repeat the above.

Go into GeForce and change the settings there if you are using an nvidia card it was automatically setting my resolution and wouldn’t change ingame because of the nvidia recommended settings
