Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege

Decent aim, disgusting gamesense.
Well, i need help.
My raw aim is on a good level, i do not have any problems with aiming at head level, winning duels and my rerflex is not bad as well etc. Muscle memory things are fine.
But i am brick if it comes to gamesense, timing and condition, i mean sometimes i do things so stupid that after i watch kill cam it looks like i'm playing for the first time.
With this comes bad timing, i mean i am looking some doorway, look away for a second and then insta headshot it may be just bad luck but last time i feel it hit me more.

But what's makes me angry the most and i have no idea what to do/how to train it to see the progress, is my condition. One round i may do crazy stuff, get 4k, clutches, beautiful flicks and on, just to go full potato on the next one and just die instantly in a stupid way ( same problem i had in CS:GO, amazing sniper but bot-like movement...).

For now the only thing came to my mind for now is:
:tap: Rewatching matches and see what i did wrong and try not make that mistake next match

:sad_creep:

Terrorist hunt can also improve that as well

First of all, gamesense is highly based off experience with FPS games or something similar. It is not really something that you can watch a video about and be instantly good, but more of a skill that you acquire over many hours of playing the game.

Second of all, in terms of learning corners and getting timing down, most of this comes down to sound recognition. Rainbow 6 Seige is a heavily sound-based game, with footsteps and other slight noises playing a massive role in the awareness of players. If you really want to improve, I highly recommend using a solid pair of headphones, and making sure you tweak your PC's audio settings to help with understanding your surroundings. You may want to go as far as using a 7.1 surround sound engine, like Dolby Atmos or Razer Surround Pro, as both may help you hear footsteps and other noises around you.

To put all the pieces together, work with your sound recognition in Terrorist Hunt. Not only will you start to become more comfortable with the game, you can start to learn maps and operators inside and out, allowing you to have better engagements when you do start jumping into Multiplayer.

Hope some of that advice is able to help you out!

Just a note, don't use any surround sound emulation like Dolby Atmos or Razer Surround Pro. Not even stuff built into headsets. They're somewhat missnamed and don't actually improve positional audio. In fact, they make it worse. They're designed to make your experience more "cinematic" by applying a bunch of filters, but in doing so you get a reduced sound stage and some strange audio "reflections".

I do play a lot of Thunts to improve aim and i definitely can see the diffrence comparing to months ago.

If it comes to sound it may be some of this as well, i do have Creative Soundblaster Z, well headset is not that great, some budget Creatives but overall most times i hear the enemy (sometimes instread of hearing them in front of me i hear them above but... :V).

But i am sure that not only the not the best headset problem, and after almost 600 hrs it's disgusting for me to jump with the skill from bronze to play in one match :V

Also i do know sometimes i am too steady and need to be more "dynamic" (like more movement, brave/fast decisions etc.). Usually i depend on team way too much (especially on randoms or on casuals) and it makes me dead more often that i'd like to.
Also i depend on info too much as well, i feel really bad when i have no idea where enemy is so usually clutches are not that good tho (and by this you should know i do not like to be the last standing op). Ofc i can win solo versus few enemies or without info go in and win the round but i wish i could do this more often.

Yesss, i've tried "scout mode" from Creative once but it was so terrible and misleading. Sure it made footsteps bit better to hear but it was not possible to hear the side of those sound and also all the environment like speakers on Border were loud as hell :bulletkin:

If you go into Thunt practice at realistic, because the bots at normal got "dead fish ai" & slow reaction time (aka their aim lock), also low damage.
On realistic they will punish you for a bad peeking time, with either killing you or flank the ♥♥♥♥ out of you or dmg you a lot.

That's may be thing as well, on realistic they have aim&walls hacks so maybe it will actually help me as well for "dynamic" aspect maybe.

I usually play normal jsut to improve aim and there is no need to use the sounds at all.

It's not this :/
Map knowledge is fine here, i do not have much problems to move backwards, moving with ADS or running to other room when i am flashed (<-- usually :P) and not getting stuck.

Indeed, the bots will punish you if you're too passive or too agressive in the wrong moments. Basically is a "pull and loosen" kind of balance you need to find, no full "agressive / rush" neither full "turtle" all the time.
Uncle Sam Jul 2, 2018 @ 3:41pm
Also the supressors counters a bit their "aim lock" through rooms & walls they got, since their aim lock is based on sound quotes or if they spawned outside with the current player locatization.

Tbh once you find the balance realistic isn't that "difficult"; unless you're doing disarm bomb at favelas in realistic as lone wolf, imo.
Uncle Sam Jul 2, 2018 @ 3:48pm
Also that video is before the pistol buffs & the ai "buffs" they did from that time until now.

Just play Ash and Ela and buttrush the enemy team. EZ win incasualagainstcoppers.
