800 DPI vs. 400 DPI?
I have a Zowie EC1-A mouse, and i'm wondering which is better 800 or 400 dpi, becuase 800 feels so much smoother for me, but alot of pros seem to use 400, but some of the best pro players right now like Nesk, Bullet1, and Skys use 800 dpi. So which do you think is better? My settings right now are 800 DPI, 10 vert/horizontal, 50 ADS, 82 FOV and 16:10 res.

uhh DPI is just preference
if you have a high-resolution screen, like 1440p or 4k a higher DPI with low sensitivity gives you that pixel-perfect accuracy
high the resolution, the higher DPI you should use
assuming you have a good sensor

I just have a 1080p, to get higher framerate.

Anyone else?

800 dpi is safe to use reliably. Just use the doubled DPI and halved sensitivity. I've 1200 dpi on Steelseries Rival 110.

What is the doubled dpi thing?

If you can't tell the difference yourself, does it really matter?

20 sensitivity and 400 dpi should be about the same as 10 sensitivity and 800 dpi, assuming it's a good sensor on the mouse and the sensitivity scales linearly.

think i use like 450 or 500

its all personal preference, i used to play on really high sensitivity like 1600 or something like that lmao but now i play on 400dpi. If you feel like 800 is more smooth just play on 800 and tweak your ingame sensitivity to your liking.

i use 1850 dpi
HighVelocity Jul 22, 2018 @ 6:02pm
and 1600 isnt high

2500 for me... Years of gaming with higher dpi I got use to it, I hardy have to move my mouse yet still retain my accuracy.

its all based on preferance. however i will say as a streamer, if you choose to play for long periods of time on low DPI itll be best to invest in a large mouse pad and move your arm not your wrist. Saves alot of pain in the long run, most poeple seem to ignore the mouse pad when talking about what sensitiveity to use. General rule is lower DPI the bigger pad you want.
