Any tips on staying calm during matches?
Whenever I play siege or any other pvp fps game I usually start to get nervous and anxious about how I play, any tips or advice to help me chill out during matches?

-Experience: More you play more you can predict enemies and become calm
-Research: Try watching pro-ESL tournaments duke it out, watch their strats and common placements that people stay at
-Fidgeting: This is kinda different on each person but in social situations like stage fright you ever notice someone twitch in a way or fidget? When in game and it gets stressful I lightly grind my teeth, Try doing something that doesnt get in way of your play but eases the nerves.
-Counting: A friend did this alot, when the match came down to the wire he would quietly count rhymatically.
-Start of the round boost: I crack my index finger with my thumb at the start of a match when a match is getting really close or stressful. Try doing a strech or hell maybe even a quick push up.

Most of the time when you get axious in this game it's because you are either overthinking situations, doubting yourself or teammates or your actions (second guessing), or have pent up energy or need to move a bit.

In clutch situations you need to be either crafty or you need to have great weapon control. If its 2v1 and you have lots of time left? (1:00) Relax. The objective isnt going anywhere, drone it out or if you lack a drone, think about where the foe(s) will be when you enter.

If you dont have alot of time left (0:30) then you honestly just have to decide on a plan and dedicate yourself to it. Say out loud, "I am going to enter objective ___ and ___ them"

Most of all if you feel TOO stressed but want to keep playing. DO NOT OVEREXTEND YOURSELF. Relax, try walking around the house a bit or a block walk or whatever you do to release mental pressure. Dont get me wrong, you will still have your heart bumping but after a bit of time you will be focused, not fearful! Never give up!

Not sure how many hours you have, but it reduces with the hours. Especially in ranked you have to get used to it. In clutch situations it might help you when you get a kick. Dont focus on being the best or winning, just have fun and learn :) Good luck!

Assuming you play casual, feel free to play music in the backround while playing, sure you won't play as well, but you wont be nervous and kills at the right time are very satisfying

Ah i see, then just focus on learning and enjoying the game. Its very hard in the beginning. Watch videos and play terrorist hunt to learn the maps. Once you got the knowledge you can focus on performing!

I constantly crack my knuckles throughout the match and it helps with the adrenaline and keeps my hand steady. You could try that?
