Try to reset the cache
https://support.ubi.com/en-GB/faqs/000027310
After that if it doesn't solve the issue try reinstalling UPLAY and RainbowSix
Seems like the most probable fix. Thanks for the suggestions.
Unfortunately, after clearing the cache, the main menu load time is still very long perhaps even longer. Uplay also failed to sync my achievements to the cloud this time around.
Might I mention it is a pain the butt to even access the operators and shop tabs because of load times.
Maybe I need to verify the cache in both steam and uplay? Maybe it's because I'm having to use two launchers at once?
I'd open a support ticket with ubi. Something is clearly corrupting your account repeatedly.
I hate uPlay
I have just opened a support case with ubisoft. Hopefully they can solve this issue where many of us can't seem to help it.
I am sorry to hear about your issues with the load times and profile issues you're facing with Rainbow Six Siege and I do thank you for those system report files. Looking through these, I do not see anything untoward that could cause this issue.
What you're currently describing does sound like the player profile file has somehow become corrupt. As you're having to redo situations and loadouts every time, this does seem to be the typical behaviour of such a corruption.
In order to begin troubleshooting this, could you please run through the following steps for me?
Make sure Uplay is completely exited out, which can include exiting from your system tray if you opted to have Uplay run in the background when pressing the window X.
Go to the save game folder below and delete it after making a backup:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\\635 (Uplay)
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\savegames\\1843 (Steam)
Open Uplay as administrator, then disable the overlay and cloud save.
Launch Siege, modify an operator's loadout, and play a situation, to ensure a good save.
Exit the game, re-enable cloud saves and the overlay and restart Uplay.
When the game starts back up, you will get a message about which save to use. Make sure to select the local save, not the cloud game save. Uplay will then update with the local save.
I feel that it is important to add this to the thread to help other people out in a similar situation. I believe this has fixed the slow load times by a great margin, though I could've just been very lucky this time around. As for losing operators, skins, etc. I won't know until later on whether this still continues.
