Stupid amounts of input lag when using recording software.
I get a stupid amount of input lag and normal lag when I use software like shadowplay, MOSS, and OBS. My computer's specs are Ryzen 7 3700x, RTX 2060 super, and 16gb of DDR4 3000mhz ram. My mouse is a logitech g403. Anyone know how to fix this?

Whats your fps generally before recording? I find anything under 150 fps regardless of screen refresh rate has a weird mouse lag to it in all games, maybe put a few settings down and try again, look up which settings are CPU intensive because this game barely used any of my GTX 970 and now i have an RTX 2070 and it's still mainly CPU working out for this game

i am able to get a consistent 120-140fps while running shadow play. the strange thing is this issue only started to happen a few weeks ago

You using SSD's or HDD?

List of things i'd try in your position
1: If overclocked GPU or CPU maybe turn it down abit (sometimes overclock can knock and turn weird after a while and give a weird mouse delay if the overclock is to high)
2: If using a HDD try defragging it
3: Use CCleaner to remove Temporary files or Press windows key type run and then %TEMP% .... Delete everything in this folder
4: Verify Siege cache in Steam
5: Check your ram usage isn't to close to your total ram (I found in games that require 8gb of ram or more and having only 8gb causes a weird fps lag but your fps counter will look normal) So if you have less than the recommended ram and your trying to run maxed out this could be an issue...
6: Use Malwarebytes and do a full system Scan for virus's

Also i have never used Shadowplay but i have tried windows DVR thing and found that to have minimal impact on performance... Maybe give that a try

At the very least if you follow these steps you will get an FPS increase regardless of the issue... Which may make it more playable as a temporary fix. Hope this helps

check drivers, i removed shadow play and dvr, now i get 150 fps consistently. setting priority tends to leave input lag, polling rate, and i noticed input lag when i have the setting in r6 raw input off, but ive noticed it works differently for others, youll have to test and see which is smoother.

ALWAYS have Raw input on. It stops all forms of mouse smoothing/Acceleration (total no no in an FPS game)

and check if your ram is on dual channel, its doubles fps and helps alot with most games

yea raw input feels smoother and my leaning isnt delayed, but with it off i cant lean as fast. probably my cpu

Hae soo, please tell me you have disabled mouse acceleration in mouse options of windows? First thing to do when installing windows imo
kokothepenguin Oct 24, 2019 @ 12:33am
mouse settings where cortana is
additional mouse options, click pointer settings, and where in says enhance pointer persision turn it off my unticking it, click apply
kokothepenguin Oct 24, 2019 @ 12:35am
and your mouse program that you use has a setting to turn off mouse accel
if not it will be disabled, since most gaming mice these days dont even have the setting and removed mouse accel. but windows has it built in.

Forgot to add, if you on windows 10 i get this weekly/monthly issue where all games FPS drops and it's because of windows update lurking in the background taking up lots of resources, Make sure to go into updates and click check for updates.. Install any needed then restart PC

i removed them since i have a tron thing where it removed bloatware, i dont need updates
