Your opinions on Recruit?
What's your take on playing Recruit seriously?

I think ATK Recruit can actually be better than the other ops in some cases. He can bring a wide range of pretty good weapons, and some of the iron sights are not too bad. He can also have 3 speed in the case of the GSG9 or SAS Recruit, which is significant if you like rushing. Plus, Recruit is 1 of 4 ops to bring frag grenades (which are basically guaranteed kills when used properly), 1 of 4 ops to bring a shield, and the only 1 able to bring both yet still provide added utility with breaching charges or smokes. His only real weakness is the lack of ACOG.

DEF Recruit is also pretty good, but the fact that he only carries 1 reinforcement hurts him. He still has access to great weapons (and a lot of the SMGs have good iron sights IMO), barbed wire, and nitro cell, but DEF in Siege is less forgiving for Recruit. A lot of the defender gadgets are too good to pass up, and Recruit's versatility from ATK doesn't hold the same weight on DEF where you really want certain gadgets on sites. He still makes for a good roamer, however.

TL;DR: ATK Recruit is versatile, DEF Recruit is a liability (tfw no 2nd reinforcement)

SAS Recruit can be useful in both attack and defense because he is 3 speed, something that none of the other SAS operators have.

Recruit should have access to season 1 DLC ops weapons by now.

I'd agree but I don't see the point in it. All S1 weapons are, at best, sidegrades to the base op weapons. The only ones I can see affecting Recruit are Blackbeard's DMR, Frost's SMG (for style points I guess lol), and Hibana's/Echo's Bearing 9.

IMO the better option would be to give Recruit the other secondary gadgets like impact grenades (finally, a new 3 speed roamer with impacts), bulletproof camera, claymore, etc. But there'd be no harm in adding both, right?

You can pick which branch recruit is from (S.A.S. GIGN etc, I jsut thought it was time he could choose from the DLC season 1 op branches too

Hes a piece of $hit and i despise him. When they throw me into a game with recruit with famas and the most horrific iron sights in the game, i wish i had the lack of morals necesary to just quit or kill myself. Because ill only be able to do a small fraction of what im capable of.

On defense is just as bad. 1 reinforcement!! In a game where most random solo queues in casual people with 2 reinforcements dont even bother to use them. It really is curtains for the team.

I wish there was no recruit. Or we can set a default operator. I hate him more than life itself!

Actually not a bad idea, at this point I'm just wondering how the UI will work lol. It barely fits 5 CTUs on the little selection bar thing, idk how it could handle 9.

maybe doing that could even solve the problem of that other recent thread, make one of the Y1 CTU Recruits female

There are honestly worse irons than the F2. Like the UMP45's iron sights, or either of the ATK GSG9 rifles' iron sights.

And the reinforcement thing... the main reason DEF Recruit is bad.

I only use the gsg 9 recruit with m870 (the best shotgun in game, in my opinion), a gun that noone else can have in attack and he is a great rusher. In defense I never use him, I have real roamers and anchoring recruit won't do any good.
