LOVE Maestro. However...
my ONE issue with maestro is that the cam is just a better valk cam. sure it cant be thrown any where, but once maestro is dead, the damn things shutters close and thats it... permanent camera. whats that? hammers and explosives solve that issue? well, i feel like its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that we now have to dedicate an operator to destroying a ♥♥♥♥ing camera. So yea, the gun isnt whats op about the cam, its the fact that it IS a cam AFTER DEATH. Plus, when the round nears the end, who is going to have an explosive on them? sure, someone might, but its hella unlikely. Imagine this: castles baracade stays the same, but it can't be punched out, and now imagine like 4 operators have breaching charges. hell, right? how about this: valks cams, but it cant be shot. you have to throw a grenade or use ash or some other operator. Oh wait... thats actually maestro... Also, now imagine that black mirrors were always shocked even without a bandit, and the compressed gas is replaced with a mini bandit (meaning you can no longer break it with a bullet), and the only way to destroy it is to unshock it and then use thermite or hibana. See what I am saying? these scenarios require the attackers to have an extra operator, meanwhile the defenders get to use one less. its crazy.

My idea, shutters open when he dies. That way his teamates dont get an invincible camera on their team. Alternatively, treat it like old echo, where his team cant use it. And I mean use it as a camera, I am well aware the team cannot use the laser gun. I will state it again because I know someone will be dumb enough to miss the point of this: I DO NOT have a problem with the gun. It is the USAGE OF ITS SURVALENCE ABILITIES.

Also, if you are going to bring up the new bullet proof cam gadget, thats a completely different boat, buddy. its fixed, it can be destroyed from the sides, and even though its not my issue, it also doesnt have a gun taped to the side. Soooo again, laser gun is fine, i dont mind playing a bit of cheeky laser tag with the enemy, but it cant just be an invincible camera. once he dies.

While you can spectate it after Maestro dies, it stays in that one position the whole game since Maestro is dead and he's the only guy who can pick it up (If you can pick it up at all, they never said if you could or couldn't), and because of its turret abilities you'd prefer to use it next to important walls that Thermite might wanna blow out, so as long as you avoid the turret's Line of Sight, it shouldnt be a big problem, and unlike valk cams, it's suuuuper obvious where it is.

Valk cams are also much smaller and can be thrown. They are a lot more useful for getting intel on enemies as they don't know you know, unless someone on your team spots with the valk cam or they have an IQ at which point the cam isnt going to last long anyway.
Its a trade off, destructable hidden cameras or highly obvious cams that *can* be destroyed but much harder to be destroyed.

good points, but why does it matter how subtle it is if its inpervious to bullets? i mean sure valk cams are hard to see but you get them eventually, and they cant see through smoke and all that crazy stuff. My point is, if the cams are borderline invincible, why would you use the small throwables? i know valk tricks like popping a hole in a wall and throwing it between so you get a LoS into both rooms, but that makes your cam super obvious. again, i think either shutters should open or your team simply cannot use it.

Oh it's impervious to melee attacks. That doesn't sound very cool to me. Sounds gamebreaking.

But. Yes they are good, and I very often meet Sledge/Ash in the games. So I think when you get used to this cams they wouldn't be a problem at all. Plus if maestro see s1 planting, I guarantee he will open his can to shot that bast*rd and this is the moment for your teammate to destroy the cam.

No smart Maestro will place it on a soft wall for this exact reason.

if the echo changes go through then echo will have 2 cloaked cameras that allies can use, what's your point? valk still has her place with the very wide FoV, throwable cam, although they might want to give her a 4th one just in case

Echos can be destroyed as well as valks. I know maestros can as well but you have to use an explosive, and explosives are very valuable.

Well, we gotta be honest, OP is right. Unless there is a Sledge in the team or explosives to spare, these cameras are pretty much free information you can't really counter.. good luck planting an objetive with atleast one defender watching the evil eye, they can ping-spam you and you can't shoot the camera down.

Name OPs who doesn't have either Breaching Charges or Grenades.
Ops you need to win mostly, Thermite or Hibana (No grenades) Thatcher or Twitch (Can only disable it for 10 seconds) Then you have a support to Capitao or Ying (Mostly for bomb) but you can have zofia and Ash or anyone with nades so it wont be bad at all.

I think it should just get a health bar like a BB shield. 30 consecutive hits with a rifle should destroy the camera. Wasting an ash charge or nade on it will really suck. I feel its going to be one of those really annoying ops later on.

You didn't read what I said clear enough. The breaching charge thing was hypothetical, and I literally stated that. And as for grenades, not many have grenades man. And you shouldn't be forced to waste one on a damn camera.
