Stuck on splash screen!

So i rarely have any issue i cant resolve myself with games/software but this has stumped me, although i have found a workaround its not ideal.

Say for example i have just booted up my system and want to play RSS i will start Uplay(i have the Uplay only version)then double click the shortcut to RSS on my desktop and im greeted with the below window ....

Now the thing is the game does not start up, it just stays at the above screen. I have tried deleting the shortcut and creating another shortcut by right clicking the game in my Uplay library and clicking "create desktop shortcut" i have also tried verifying the files, none of this helped.

The work around i discovered was to quit Uplay then re-download the Uplay installer from https://uplay.ubi.com/ and re-install this over my currently installed version i then re-launch Uplay and the RSS shortcut on my desktop works fine, the game launches fine until next re-boot.

Im running Windows 10 Pro x64 version 1709 build 16299. 248
16GB DDR4
GTX 1070 with the latest 390.77 display drivers
I have allowed both the RSS.exe and Uplay.exe through my firewall

Would anybody have any idea whats going on?

Sorry if I'm not helping your problem, but, try ask to Ubisoft people. Chat them through Facebook messenger, they might have the answer for you. I once ask help from Ubisoft, and their customer support help me in very much quick time.

Nope.

Nope.

I managed to fix mine by turning off experimental features in Nvidia Geforce Experience.

If that doesn't work you could try uninstalling it entirely.
