Why do some operators carry scissors?

I noticed that some operators like blackbeard and valkyrie carry scissors. But why do they do that?

To trim their beards! But no its mostly to cut off clothes to get at wounds better to treat them, or you know whenever you need to cut something with precision.

Maybe to provide med support? Cutting bandages or clothing?

Yup what nerfbeard has is called a medvest - its different than a regular assault vest.
They have special pockets for things above first aid.
(may include many objects wont specify)

Therefore, the scissors you can visually see them carrying are probably just for an all-purpose situation. They never know what situations they will end up in and scissors can always come in handy.

Here our battle field medics have 2 pairs.
1backup and 1 that they use. If they need to use them for cutting bandages they have a senitizer on hand.
