Which edition should I buy?
Im thinking of getting into R6 but I don't know which version to buy. Preferably one with all ops unlocked.

It's no fun if all the operators are available in the beginning itself

Yeah true, I feel like the progression is buying the operators themselves.

you can still progress by unlocking cosmetics for them, or trying for a better rank in ranked. It takes a long time to get all of them by unlocking them with renown.

Do you have to pay for each op with actually money or ingame stuff?

If you're trying to decide which edition of Siege to buy, here's an FAQ on what comes with each edition. [support.ubi.com]

All operators in Siege are bought using Renown, which is our in-game currency. But there is an option to buy R6 Credits with money if you choose to unlock them that way.

I'd recommend Deluxe Edition. It has 8 year 1 operators and by the time you will learn to play all of them you can unlock more operators without big pressure of grind. There's also small price difference (around 3$ in my region between deluxe and standard) Although ultimate offers all of the operators at once I still think this way you can get bored quickly as there won't be any new objective for you to achieve other than getting cosmetic items.

Get the Deluxe Edition.
Deluxe Edition is definitely all you need. I just hit 20 hours and I've unlocked 25/50 operators. I haven't even acquired renown efficiently.
