Are the Australian Servers dead?
I bought the game on sale a while ago and forgot about it, but when I saw the news about a Newcomer mode I thought it would be a good time to come back and try to learn the game.

However every attempt I've made today to find a game have ended in failure, and me giving up after waiting in queue for an hour (despite an estimated wait time of 1 to 2 minutes).

Is there an issue with the Australian/SEAU servers, or is the playerbase just that dead?

Ahem. Sorry.
Newcomer playlist is dead, and for a couple reasons. The main one being that it's rampant with smurfs. If you want to learn the game, I'm afraid you're gonna have to tank it out in casual like the rest of us.
