Why are Platinum players so toxic?

They always seem to teamkill, straight out leave a game, or spawnpeek a lot. Is there an explanation for this?

I can confirm this, their ego is mad high so when they get killed whilst spawnpeeking its always the games fault. Plat/high gold players are the most toxic imo

Dude, the entire MP system in game is toxic. I've not played a single MP game ever that didn't include someone who was team killing or mic spamming or team hampering in one way or another. Even in ranked where they should care, they'll still just run around doing team wounds so they don't get the ban.

Honestly its best in this game to only game with friends, the randoms in game are rather horrible the vast majority of the time.

Gold is the sweet-spot of where you want to be. People are nice, no toxic behavior, just great. I mean, of course there are exceptions, but in all I've enjoyed this game the best in Gold rank.

This, I've been playing this game since the beginning of the beta in 2015 and the quality of the player base has gone downhill so much.

You see every form of crap ranging from text spam to trash talk. I used to create a custom game and wait for somebody to come back in the day, but that can't be done anymore.

Absolutely, its insane that I can't find people to game with if they aren't already on a friends list because its rare for anyone to even finish matches anymore. It's seriously sad.

im plat and im not toxic. Where lower gold and to coppers are the worse. They trash talk with 0 kills and teamkill you for not defusing the bomb while 4 enemies still roam.
