Question about Seasonal Skins

I'm new to this game, and I'm curious to how these weapon skins work for the most recent season (Phantom Sight, for those curious). One skin looks particularly cool (Secret Star), but the game says that I would be able to skin it to all my weapons "until the season ends."

What will happen to this weapon after the season ends? Will I have to purchase it again, will it only apply to certain weapons, or will it completely disappear?

You keep the skin forever, it just doesn't apply to newer weapons that are introduced into the game. If you buy Secret star then it only applies to all the guns that are currently in the game. Any new weapons won't be able to use the skin.

The skin you buy stays with you forever, however, you can only apply it to guns that have been released before or at the same time as the skins. Any weapons that are released next season and the one after etc. will not be able to use the skin
