It wasnt all solo though thats the difference maker.

Ace yourself or be able to ace the entire match, in case you get toxic or noobies team mates xD
Another thing is to be in team with super pros.
Last one i can think of atm is to be lucky enough that enemy team is trolling around and throuw matches for deranking and keeping coopers or silvers to advance any further, either they are paid for this or out of some sick pleasure.
Its not possible with a controller on PC. There are professional players in low plat. To SOLO Queue with a controller the absolute best you could realisitcally achieve is plat 3.
SoloQ to plat it's possible, but SoloQ to Diamond & +5000 mmr i've yet to see someone made it.
