Hey Daniel,
Have you had the chance to check the brightness setting in Siege to see if it's set the way you want it?

Hi there,
I've also had this 'screen dimming' happening to me, when I play R6:Siege.
My monitor is an Asus PG279Q 144 hz 27 inch 2K G-Sync.
When I ALT+TAB from Siege, the screen is noticeably dimmed before changing back to the undimmed state.
Because my PC struggles to run Siege at 144 hz (my monitor's default refresh rate), I had changed the refresh rate to 85 hz in the NVIDIA control panel to 85 hz. This meant that I would get less severe frame rate drops in-game. But I kept seeing this noticeable dimming effect which I didn't mentally link to the change in frame rate.
However, since changing my monitor's refresh rate back to 144 hz, the dimming effect has stopped.
To limit the frame rate now, I use the in-game refresh rate setting at 59.95 hz. You can find this setting in Options - Display.
TLDR. By using the in-game refresh rate setting to control my monitor's refresh rate, instead of the NVIDIA control panel, I have managed to eliminate the screen dimming effect.
I hope this helps you.
Hopefully other players find this works for them as well if they have this issue.
