Isnt everyone supposed to have the Starter Operators by default now?
I bought the Ultimate Edition some time ago, and i have all operators except the ones the game released with, my friend says everyone is supposed to have them by default now.

Standard Edition
- You do not get any ops. The only playable op you have is Recruit. You have the ability to unlock the 20 legacy operators with in-game currency. You no longer get those operators automatically.

Deluxe Edition
- You only get the Year 1 DLC operators. (Frost, Buck, Valkyrie, Blackbeard, Capitao, Caveira, Hibana, and Echo)

Gold Edition
- You get the Year 1 operators AND the Year 4 pass.

Ultimate Edition
- You get the Year 1 ops, Year 2 ops, Year 3 ops and Year 4 pass.

None of these editions give you the original 20 operators instantly. You have to unlock them with in-game currency.

Uplay+ Edtion
- This is the ONLY EDITION that would grant you the original 20 operators, along with the Year 1 ops, Year 2 ops, Year 3 ops, and Year 4 ops as they are being released.

I hope this clears up the confusion!

Buying this game - Standar, Deluxe or Ultimate edition?
Been thinking about buying this game for a while. May as well do it now as it is on sale!
Should I go for anything different than the Standard edition? What does the Deluxe and Ultimate offer?

Many thanks and see you all soon in game!

Just get standard. Its fun unlocking all the operators.

So it's just paying more for unlocking the characters that you can unlock through gameplay?

Pretty much.

standard:no operators,
deluxe: year 1 ops only (8 ops),
ultimate: all dlc ops but not vanilla ops
I have 800 hours on console and only bought this on pc today - I bought standard thinking I'd get the standard ops but I got none, the extra €4 for deluxe is definitely worth it. Ultimate is up to you but it's more fun to grind the in game currency to unlock the ops.

This is the reply I needed my man. An upgrade from Standard for 4€ seems reasonable, but paying 50 bucks for content that i'll end up unlocking through gameplay. And yeah, i'm a grind and shine player too, so Deluxe will be the way to go for me!

Case closed!

I would say the deluxe version minimum. You get about 25% of the operators. It's everything you need to compete, even on ranked (once you learn the game anyways).

Year 1 operators and some of the most played in the game still. Which is what you get in the Deluxe.

The thing that would make the 50 dollar version more appealing is that you don't have to grind year 2 and 3 operators. Which mean, you can spend some of your credits on cosmetic items.

There is only 1 currency in the game for both Operators and cosmetics. So players like myself that originally got the Standard edition had to spend most all their credits on Operators. Not being able to splurge on cosmetics, unless you fork out more cash.

Unlocking all ops is pretty fun plus since you have to farm renown for the ops it gives you time to get good with the op you just brought

Yea ultimate is pointless honestly. Unless all you care about is cosmetic crap which is also pointless lol. I grabbed deluxe though, for $4 more it saves quite a few hours of grind.

Death Trooper Oct 30, 2019 @ 3:51am
buy standard then grind

Standart : You have to buy all operators
Deluxe : You have to buy all operators except Y1 DLC ones (which are 10000 renown each I think)
Go for standart all the way if you can grind that lil bit

You cant understand the editions unless u understand the game.. There are lot of benefits if u buy expensive editions. but trust me, Just buy Deluxe if you have money. if you dont, buy standard (You will struggle alot in the beginning to unlock all operators. Like I did.)
