Is hard to get gold ?

I am thinking about starting to play ranked, sometimes in autumn, and i am aiming for gold, the highest.
It is easy or hard to get there ?
compare it to nova from silver, in cs go, wich is very hard due to ove 80% amount of cheaters xD

It’s not hard to get gold... it’s hard to keep it... (especially when often getting unranked teammates on your team).

Don’t start ranked unless you atleast watch “siege school” by varsitygaming... you can hurt your team more than help them... it’s not a long series but it sets much of the basis to play ranked.

If you don’t do this expect really low k/d and many loses. Just being honest about how it’s gonna end up if you can’t even set up site right/also learn how to exploit sites.

Most people end up copper/bronze/silver if you check the chart... and many people who are gold were people who played 10 matches/probably got carried then never played further matches.

i played solo for my 10 games and got gold 3 but lost it as soon as the 11th match came up cause it was 2v5......

but do what dont ask me said and watch the video and others too from other streamers to see what you need to be ready for.

My goal is to get gold once and have a flawless victory, a flawless match, for archievements.
I don't mind if i derank from that point.
In cs for example, i am silver 3. the entire time since 2017 december, my highest rank was silver elite master and since i attained that skill , i had 8 wins in a row, but since the 9th match, for rank up, i think, i have encountered cheaters for better than 20 consecutive matches in a row, so i dropped it xD
Ocasionally i play 1-2 matches weekly with some friends xD

With friends who are good it’s easier as they’ll tell you what to do - solo is a different story... when the season started for me... hit gold 2 climbing up then 5 matches in a row someone left on my team after cav/jackel bans.... got pushed into silver... then went back up to gold 3... then silver 1... about to hit silver 3 again... I had a game where I got 4 kills and put an ash on 50hp 1 round... guess what? We lost the round/match even (teammates throwing themselves into the enemy on attack) - that’s solo in a nutshell and partially sums up how crap ranked is.

Plat boosting.
Ping abusers.
Smurfs.
Unranked teammates.
Being placed against stacks.
Cheaters (got a lot of elo back from this this season... maybe 80 total)
Team killers (I’ve abandoned 4 matches from threats of this out of a total of just over 500 matches... you get punished heavily for abandons)
You also lose elo for beating cheaters which I had lost elo 1 time and pretty sure we beat a wall-hacker around that point.

You name it. “Ranks out of beta”.

Yeah, this season i spotted even more cheaters than in cs go without prime, on my second account, for single plater xD
I do play from time to time on no prime to check if there is any change, very rare i hit 40 kills and enemy rage cheat and i lose xD

Sry for comparing this game to cs, on ranking stuff, but only in cs i did play competitive, not in any other game so far.
