If I surrender vs. a cheater do I get my elo back? Or do I have to finish the game?
Question in the title
I don't really know about this thanks

Ubi is NEVER going to ban cheaters. Because they bring Ubi tons of money. They could give cheaters hwid bans like apex legends started doing when cheating got out of hand. They CHOOSE not to do anything.

Ah I was just wondering if I specifically surrender.
I saw some comments on steam forums people saying if you surrender you do not get rollback, I just wanted to know about that more if it was true.

I know if they get banned the system gives you back elo/takes (depending if you win or lose)

They do ban cheaters, just very slowly I guess.

But there was a ban wave recently.

Yup :(
And the teleporting hack that lots of cheaters use is super ez to prevent/fix but either Ubisoft is too stupid to do it or they just don't care.
Watch this to understand how deeply incompetent they are.

Do you have a link to something where they said there was a ban wave? I have the username of someone I reported to ubisoft support chat and it's been 2 weeks but the cheater isn't banned.
KingGeorge said so
and people in the leaderboards (third party websites) shot up.

this is a year old, ubisoft had a cheater statement thingy so maybe they changed their policies?

Nope it is still like that sadly. I have reached a point where i no longer believe the bans i see appearing on the screen. I believe they are random nicknames generated and projected in the game, so it appears as if they ban someone. I mean how the ♥♥♥♥ can people that got banned say for example Friday be in game on Sunday with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ same account ????

that video is interesting but mainly shows battleye isnt a very good anti-cheat
but as for the actual ubisoft support
ubisoft support is inconsistent, you could report a hacker to one guy and he would ignore you and if you send it to another they would forward it to the r6 team
its like asking your dad if you can have candy and he says no but then you ask your mom and she says yes
the good news is you can still get cheaters banned
the bad news is some ubisoft support agents just makes it more of a hassle

They ban in Waves, just as you said. So those publishing those cheats are not able to adjust it every single time someone get's banned. At the end it's an race and those creating stuff like hacks, etc. have it waaaaaay easier.

Catch a few hundred vs ~3 is the reason why companies ban in waves.

That's also why no one get's told why they got banned or what lead to the ban.

You can change your screen name every 30 days on Uplay.

Let's say I got banned, I did not change my nick recently on the account which got banned, so I switch it to some random number/letter combination and dump it, forever forgotten.

That Nick is now free to get picked up again by another account of mine (or I just create a new one with that name).

Yeah, exactly.
Unfortunately that's the way to go so we players have to wait for ban waves.
